I have always enjoyed working with adult learners to help them develop knowledge and skills. After years of experience as an instructional facilitator, engaging with SMEs and stakeholders to design and develop e-Learning, instructor-led trainings, and virtual instructor-led trainings, I developed my passion for creating dynamic learning experiences.
Having completed the Applied Instructional Design Academy to become a certified instructional designer, I enjoy identifying gaps and designing and developing consistent, visually-appealing, engaging, and impactful learning solutions to meet organizations' goals.
I also enjoy getting feedback and am always willing to challenge myself to continue building my technical skills and best serve all stakeholders.
When I'm not working, I like to cook, hike, practice my foreign language skills, travel, and go scuba diving!
Engaging and interactive e-Learning modules tailored to specific training needs, created using Articulate Rise and Storyline authoring tools, Vyond, Camtasia, and Canva design tool
Custom design and facilitation of training courses that results in engaging learning experiences, with blended learning strategies like infographics to simplify complex information needed on the job
Strategy and consultation to optimize learning solutions and drive performance change
I use the ADDIE and SAM models during the instructional design process, working closely with SMEs and stakeholders to:
Conduct a needs analysis to understand learner and organizational needs
Design an engaging learning solution using adult learning theory, the end goal, and gaps needing addressed as information to create a design document that outlines learning objectives, appropriate training modality, and chunks and sequences content, activities, and assessments
Develop a detailed plan for an engaging and interactive learning solution through a storyboard
Use an iterative process to develop, receive feedback on, and refine the best learning solution to implement
The Applied Instructional Design Academy is a 9-month instructional design certification program focused on corporate instructional design, and recognized by the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
After engaging in learning and practice with the fundamentals of the field, authoring tools including Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline, multiple rounds of feedback and revisions, and engaging in a client-simulated project, participants earn badges in instructional design, e-Learning development, Rise, Storyline, and the end-to-end design process.
